Married for a Month!

In a mere 2 days our fledgling marriage will reach the one month milestone. We can only hope that the rest of our days are as exciting and relaxing as this first month. In fact, we realized that we have been having so much fun that we neglected to document our exploits in this space. So, without further ado, we present some pictures and appropriate captions to give the reader a brief glimpse into our mountain lifestyle.
Lauren just started mountain biking last fall and already has no problem tackling the aggressive terrain to be found in and around Moab, Utah.
The breathtaking (literally) terrain in Moab makes it one of the meccas of mountain biking. T.J. finding out what all the fuss is about.
We didn't see anything but brush, dirt, and insane views during our entire ride. T.J. taking a break on the Hidden Canyon trail, with the snow-covered La Sal Mountains barely visible in the distance.
T.J. trying not to hurt himself while flying down Moab's world-famous slickrock.
Lauren cresting one of the many hills that we encountered on our ride on the Hidden Canyon trail 15 miles north of Moab, Utah.
We spent the night before our Hidden Canyon ride drinking beer by the campfire with our friends David and Maria before retiring to a tent pitched just outside the frame of this picture.
The "parking lot" of our campsite 10 miles outside of Moab, Utah.
T.J. fishing the San Miguel one evening after work.
T.J. casting to, but not catching any, brown and rainbow trout.
T.J. fishing another section of the San Miguel on a sunny spring Saturday. He didn't catch any fish on this day either.
Most of the high country is still covered in snow, as we discovered during this hike with our buddies David, Maria, and Casey.
Taking a break during our hike on the Whipple Mountain trail outside of Telluride.
Lauren resting during a hike to one of the many waterfalls surrounding Ouray, Colorado.
Lauren being dwarfed by another beautiful waterfall outside of Ouray.
With views like this, it's no wonder that Ouray is referred to as the "Switzerland of America."
Lauren preparing to leave the house for the last day of the ski season. Even though the high temperature that day was under 30 degrees, she stayed out for a long time clothed only in this outfit and didn't imbibe any alcohol.
Lauren on the way to her first summit of Bald Mountain, Telluride, Colorado. She elected to wear clothes on this hike, which was good considering that it was 15 degrees with steady winds of 30 mph and gusts up to 60 mph. Unfortunately, the skis on her back acted like a sail, making it difficult for her diminutive frame to stay upright.
Celebrating the end of the ski season with the rest of the town during Telluride's Street Fest. This view of Colorado Avenue (Main Street) is the same view that we see walking to work every day.
This is by far the tamest picture that we could find of St. Patrick's Day.
Lauren inspecting the merchandise of a massive elk statue in Sante Fe, New Mexico. Sadly, this is the only picture we have of Sante Fe.

You guys look like you are having a blast. Congrats again to the married couple. One month down - many more to go, and believe me it only gets better. I've decided you either need a sponsor like Red Bull or REI should be using these pictures for their catalog. I don't know what to expect next from you guys, so just surprise me. LATER!
