As you might be able to tell from the pictures above, we are no longer in Atlanta. Instead, we are writing from frigid Telluride, Colorado, our abode through May, 2008. Our experience so far (11 days to date) has exceeded our already lofty expectations. For one, it snowed 67" in the first 7 days of our residence, including a monster powder day on our first day ever skiing Telluride (our view from the Gondola that morning is shown above). Our transition to new employment has gone quite smoothly, and we are enjoying the more relaxed pace of life that a small ski town has to offer.
T.J.'s attempting to focus on his studies for the Colorado bar exam while also lending a hand part-time at a Telluride law firm/doggy day care. Seriously, there are usually at least two dogs roaming the halls; it's wonderful. Lauren has her "nanny" hands full with Blake (5) and Graham (2), but is enjoying interacting with those on her maturity level. [Hey, TJ, that's not nice and/or funny! Quit being a doofus. Geez.] Yes, and she is also pink helmet-clad, skiing double black diamonds (though not in the picture below) with her usual fearlessness.
We're excited to share our stories and pictures on this blog, now through the end of our occidental and oriental odyssey.
Love,
Lauren and T.J.

Hi TJ and Lauren,
Loved hearing from you and will enjoy all the tales of your adventure year.
All is well in Richmond, VA and I am excited to say that this is my last year of teaching. Time for more travel and different endeavors for me too. 30 years in plenty for teaching Kindergarten.Betsy and Cameron are in Boston this long MLK weekend and I am babysitting Louis Armstrong the dog. Daisy loves Louie and they are having a fine time in the backyard. Baby Jack is 19 months now and really fun.
I loved the photos, ecpecially that little tree house picture. Can't wait for more...love, ann

Glad to hear you are having so much fun! I (and TAP) certainly miss you around here! And, my g-mail chatting to while away the work hours has been much less entertaining lately!
This all looks so amazing! I can't wait to see more pictures. It's great to finally put a face with the name, TJ! :)
